Samantha J. Nam, MS, LMFT







samantha namSamantha is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC #45002). She received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2002. She has extensive clinical experience from Glen Roberts Child Study Center (Glendale, CA) and Asian Pacific Counseling and Treatment Centers (Los Angeles, CA), helping children and their families, individuals and couples in a variety of issues and struggles.

In her work, Samantha incorporates different theoretical approaches according to her clients’ needs and preferences. Mostly, she specializes in solution-focused treatment for short-term therapy and attachment theory for long-term therapy. Other approaches include CBT, psychodynamic, behavioral and family systems.

In addition to her clinical experience, Samantha has appeared as a guest on both the Korean Gospel Broadcasting Company (Los Angeles, AM1190) and local Los Angeles television as an expert on adolescent mental health. Samantha enjoys giving seminars and classes on topics related to parenting, relationships and marriage.

Samantha speaks both Korean and English fluently. Her long-term vision is to normalize and mobilize mental health for people, especially for Asians and Asian-Americans.
